DCP Midstream Partners Announces Return to Full Service of Discovery Lateral and Wyoming Gathering System
DENVER, March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DCP Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE: DPM) (the Partnership) today announced its Discovery offshore gas gathering system and Wyoming gas gathering system have both been returned to full service.

Discovery's offshore gathering system sustained damage during Hurricane Ike in September 2008, when an 18-inch lateral was severed from its connection to the 30-inch mainline in 250 feet of water.
The 30-inch mainline was repaired and placed back into service in January. With the recent completion of repairs on the 18-inch lateral, Discovery's offshore system is now fully operational and flowing approximately 400 million cubic feet per day of natural gas through the onshore Larose natural gas processing plant.
The Partnership owns 40 percent of the Discovery system, which includes an offshore natural gas gathering system, as well as the Larose plant and Paradis fractionation facility. Williams (NYSE: WMB) operates the Discovery system.
The Partnership also completed the third and final phase of its pipeline integrity and system enhancement project on its Douglas natural gas gathering system in Wyoming. As previously announced, volumes were curtailed in the second quarter of 2008 following pipeline integrity testing. The system upgrade project was conducted to assure pipeline integrity, improve system reliability and reduce operating costs. The Douglas system gathers approximately 20-25 million cubic feet per day of natural gas from wells in Wyoming's Powder River Basin.
